Luna Lovegood was born on February 13,1981 in Great Britain. She was born to Xenophilius and Pandora Lovegood.When Luna was nine years old her mother died in a tragic accident when she was experimenting with spells. Growing up with only her father around, she was very involved with her fathers magazine"The Quibbler".
When Luna turned 11 her dream came true when she recieved her Hogwarts acceptance letter.She was so excited to be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and to be able to make new friends who understood her. After going through platform nine and three quarters and traveling on the Hogwarts express to Hogwarts she was sorted into Ravenclaw.This shy and quiet girl was not very good at making friends.Many called her Loony Lovegood and made fun of her fabulous radish earings.
Luna Lovegood was alone but she didnt question her sanity. She told everyone who would tease her that they were just as sane as she was.The first person to accept her friendship and admire her personality was the famous Quidditch player who later played for the Holyhead Harpies (after hogwarts). Ginny Weasley greated Luna with the respect and kindness that she treated everyone she loved. Ginny introduced Luna to Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley,Hermione Granger,and Neville Longbottom.She was so happy to be around people who cared about her so much that she had her ceiling painted with her friends faces on it with the words friends in golden ink.Her and her new friends went on many magical adventures together in their time at Hogwarts.
After 7 years of educatuon from Hogwarts, Luna Lovegood becomes a wizarding naturalist and marries Rolf Scamander(grandson of Newt Scamander author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).Later the couple have twin boys named Lorcan and Lysander.Luna lovegood is still very close friends with Harry,Ron,Ginny,
